Granuloma pyogenicum – Pyogenic Granuloma – lobular capillary  hemangioma

Mostly, the Pyogenic Granuloma occurs some days after minor injurys of the skin. Of unknown reasons, the skinwound does not heal complete and this tumorlike finding grows. However, it looks scary, but is harmless.

Reasons unknown. Authors opinion: PG’s are known almost always only at the hand. The tissue at the hand has a very good healing tendency. so it could be, that at least it is a form of mishealing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Therapy

Some PG’s heal spontaneously. Usage of argentum nitrite stick can also help. Mostly, an operation is necessary.
